Swap magic 3.6 problems

Ok, so ive installed my flip top case on my V5 console, and got swap magic 3.6.

When i open the lid to replace the swap magic disc for a backup, upon closing the lid the tray ejects with the backup disc just having been added. Why is it doing this? From what I can tell this isnt normal.

I tried to burn 2 discs so far, and both say (invalid ps2 disc). The media is Memorex 16x ID: RITEKF1 (so its not the best media but not the worst either). Am I getting this error because of the media or for some other reason.

No this is not normal for the tray to eject. Check to make sure the ps2 eject/start button are seated properly. Could just be off a bit, and thats what causing it to open or something else when you put the fliptop on. Might just have to open it up again to make sure its all ok.
