You have 2 Options.

Downgrade with Lumines Downgrader. Which you will need an unpatched copy of Lumines game to do this method.

Here is a GUIDE with needed files linked for the downgrader. The site has multiple guides for all PSP firmware versions so choose the TOP guide to use (-3.10 - 3.50 Any Motherboard)

OR

Use the Pandora Battery unbricker/downgrader method.

You will need to know someone or have access to a PSP that has either 1.50 firmware or custom firmware running on the PSP. You will need to use that PSP to create the Pandora Battery in order to use it in your PSP to downgrade.

Here is a GUIDE on how to create the Pandora Battery.

When your at 1.50 install CFW to the PSP. I would recommend using 3.52 M33 then update to 3.52 M33-4/ You first have to install 3.53 M33.

It really isn't all that hard. The toughest is getting your hands on a Lumines game or knowing someone with a PSP that has 1.50 or custom firmware on the PSP. The rest is pretty simple.

I dunno where your from but I have seen Lumines games for $19 at Walmart and Kmart here at my local stores. So try those places.
