Nintendo Wii Incompatible Router

I currently have a router/cable modem combo that was issued through my ISP. It just so happens that it is on Nintendo's naughty router list. Now, I have a dilemna.

1. I can't replace the modem/router because my ISP.
2. I can't install anything directly to the modem/router because my parents would flip (even though I know more about computers and such than they do)

How do I connect my Wii to the internet (without waiting 100 years until the next update that fixes the problem) without replacing the wireless modem/router or connecting anything to the router.

I currently have a PC and a laptop using the wireless network in the room next to the router so signal strength is not the issue. Keep in mind that even though I may be computer savy, I am NOT network savy.

I NEED to play Mario Strikers online, what do I do?

Does no one have any idea on how to get around this? Is it possible to connect the WEP to my PC and not to the modem/router and still produce an internet connection to my Wii?

you could buy a 2nd wireless router that is deemed ok by nintendo if your router is definitely incompatable. if u did not want to alter your setup just connect to other router via a cat5 cable and run wireless from the 2nd router.
