It looks like any other burnt DVD. Different games show various burn areas, because they come in various sizes.

Read up on the guides and read up on it again. There are so many possible reasons why a game wont play its difficult to know where to start.
Some basics are;
use quality disks
burn slowly like no more than 4x
burn the .mds file ( not the iso)
Burn a DVD game to DVD and a CD game to a CD and use the appropriate swap magic disk for DVD or CD games. (most ps2 games are DVD)
Make sure you are swapping correctly.
Read the guides.

well it shouldnt have a visible data ring, and it should say 0 bytes free when you put it in the pc (it stretches the data somehow)
