EDITING WITH DVDSHRINK -- Please Help!

I am trying to re-author a dvd using dvd-shrink. I know how to get the main movie title in the re-author function but I want to also bring over the menus. I have read all the guides on earth it seems but I found no anser - How do I re-author and include the menus?

I tried dragging them over but they don't go, or they go in the same folder as the main movie - and combined I have about 10 menus. Will this work?

I assume I may need a different/better authoring tool? Also, as a side note, can anyone give me any recommendations on a good dvd-mpg/avi program. Thanks for helping

DVD Shrink can rip the menus but they will not be functional, you will only see the images. I would suggest only ripping the main movie and then using another program to create menus if you need them.

I think the menus will work if you backup only without re-authoring. If you want to cut size down, I do some of it after it has been ripped to the hard drive and before burning. But you have to watch which files you remove. This works good if both versions of movie are on the same side of the dvd (wide screen & full screen.) Wide version is usually the first big file. Jerry
