Hi -

I've been using a PSP "fat" for some time and have been flourishing with homebrew software. I just wanted to see where the homebrew community is at in terms of hacking the slim.

Will I be able to install some kind of firmware that will allow my run ISOs, my GBA and SNES emulators, and PSX games?

There is a Pandora's battery method which will take your 3.60 PSP Slim to 3.60 M33. However, much homebrew doesn't work, as there is no real way to get the 1.50 IPL on the PSP slim, thus, no kernel. But, there is some that works, mostly 1.00 EBOOTS and 2.71 kernel games.

hmmm... so is the homebrew community sticking with the 'fat' psp for now? I wouldn't want to buy a slim and not have it do what my 'fat' is currently doing at least

We're not sticking to the fat (maybe we are, but...) but the slim is just harder to get homebrew on because of the TA-085 motherboard in it. It disables pretty much everything 1.50 related.

that pretty much defeats the purpose of the psp slim. double the memory and longer battery life are the selling point to me.
