PSTwo 70012 laser not stopping during swap

Hello, I recently purchased swap magic 3.6 and a flip-top cover for my PSTwo model 70012. The swap magic works just fine but when I flip open the flip-top on the cover and take out the swap magic disc, the laser continues to move back and forth. And I receive an error that the backup is not a valid PS2 disc. If anyone has encountered this problem, assistance would be appreciated. I have confirmed it is NOT a problem with the media I am using.

seems like the sensors arent down with the flip top,reinstall the flip top

Seems like you are right, thank you very much. I just press down the corners of the flip top when I swap and it works. Definitely was a sensor problem.
