halo 2 co op over system link?

I was wondering is it possible to play campaign over system link by adding the campaign maps to the main menu and then play the map as if it were a regular multi player map but you would still have check points and would there be aliens to shoot at or would that need ai? Im not sure about this but i think it might be possible tell me what you think
