i'm using the sony 2200mAh stamina battery and my games are on the memory stick. question is: is there gonna be an increase on battery life?

also somewhat relevant to the topic: on the psp slim, how many hours can you use it with the 2200mAh battery?

On whether the battery life will be increased playing games off the memory stick as opposed to a UMD; yes, the moving parts of the UMD drive use much more energy than a game read directly from the memory stick.

On the number of hours for a PSP 1000 battery in a PSP 2000; I honestly have no idea. The only thing I am certain of is that a PSP 1000 battery is larger than a PSP 2000 battery and you must use a different battery cover that is sold seperately.

I don't know the validity of this information, but I saw this in a post on Kotaku.
