backups not playing but actual game is...HELP!

SO just got a brand new 46 sammy dlp and hook everything up. Start playing winning 11 with no issues as always. Then i take the game out and put in tiger 08 backup and it says disc unreadable so put winning 11 back in and now it wont work at all. Some backups that i barely play will work after loading for 2-3 minutes. However, my original copy of madden 08 works like a charm. Any reason why? Have either the ms25 or 28, not sure which but it has the ixtreme 1.2 fw. I have a product replacement plan via bb so should i really eff up the inside so it wont play anything then take it back?

It sounds like a laser problem to me.
As far as taking it back to bb, i guess thats up to you.
But if you can take it apart without fucking the casing and everything else up you can try to pot tweak the laser and see if that fixes it.

well i cant take it back yet because it still plays originals so they would tell me that it is still working...cant tell them it wont play backups and have them take it back i dont think.

Sounds like bad media to me? Almost everything will give you problems except verbatim. I was told it was a laser issue with mine but come to find out that verbatims really do make that much of a difference.

well after playing with it a little...memorex has always worked when they were 2.4x max. at frys the other day, they only had 8x max so bought those but burned at 2.4x. I noticed that none of these have worked so it is a media issue i think. Buddy gets home monday and will test media on his and see if they work on his. But i went ahead and ordered 10pk verbatim on newegg for like 22...should be here wed-thur and then i can do test to see if it is media...

So you know they have 50 packs of verbatim at sams club for 70.00. Best deal your gonna find right now.

Well i can tell you thats for sure your problem. I have a couple games that are memorex and most work most of the time but yeah. memorex really sucks.

Where are you from chnky? It definately sounds like a media issue to me, I am using a different media reccomended by a friend of mine (master) and they work every time, there is a place in dublin that sell them 20 euro for 10, if ur from Ireland pm me and ill give u the details
