Alright. I'm not the type to ASK for help but all the forums i,ve linked to work for only one of my modded boxes (the one I did with xboxhdm and Shademan's Complete softmod. I bought two unleashx systems while in Iraq. After exhausting all known options, wearing out my keyboard and burning up all but one brain cell, I STILL CAN'T CHANGE THE IP ADDRESS of either of these two xboxes. If I go to MS Dash and attempt to enter network, the xbox reverts to the mod skin video. From the xbox media center...power icon (lower right of screen)...System info...Network, I can see but not alter the following:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Network Information
Type: Static
Link: 100mbps Full duplex
IP: 0.0.0.0
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 0.0.0.0
MAC: 00:12:5a:09:98:21
Internet: Xbox is not connected. Check Network Settings.

(TIME)(DATE)
Build: 1.1.0
XBMC Compile Date: Jul 31 2005
Mplayer Version: Mplayer dev CVS 050614-18:52 (Jun 14 2005)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

As stated above, I can't change this info due to circumstances beyond my comprehension. Not that I can't learn but it seems the modder didn't want anyone doing more than backing their games up on the hard drive. The problem with that is that there are files on each box that I would like to add to each of the other boxes. I'm so frustrated that I'm considering a hotswap to my pc with xboxhdm and a second drive to recover the files. Is that my only hope? Thanks in advance!

PS:

At the unleashx dash I have:

Game Disc
Hard Drive Games
Emulators
Xbox Media Center
Cheats
System
----------------------------
At System I have:

Skins
dvd2xbox
NTSC PAL
Game Saves
MS Dashboard

I hope this is enough info for you to know what my hurdles are.

The ip is changed in settings-system-network. You have an established connection it seems from the info you submitted but can't connect. Did you configure you pc LAN card and assign a static ip address? The data cable needs to be a CROSSOVER CAT5. Until these two things are sorted out the xbox will not connect.

You have a custom Evox.ini file that is hiding the menu option you need!

I do this for console I send out to customers, prevents tampering and then whinging as to why their Xbox is broke.

Get hold of AID or Slayers and reinstall the dashboard and all the options will re-appear!

Also, take a quick read of my tutorials to answer any other questions you have!

Thanks for your replies, locobrown and chunkhead! I have obtained a copy of SID and created a backup copy of Splinter Cell from my user-frienly Xbox. I'm looking forward to this as it will most certainly be an upgrade.
