Just burn it as a data CD. However, make sure your standalone player can read data discs as to select the correct file to play; in your case, the video.

Are you burning it as a multi-session disc?

No, the point is NOT to burn as a multi-session disc as many DVD players cannot read them.
When you go through the burn phase in Nero, make sure this box is selected...
I'm using Nero 6, so it may look slightly different.

You could use IMGBurn to make an ISO of the files you'd like to burn and then burn it to the CD - that may work for you.

No, the point is you shouldn't be burning the disc as multi-session in the first place - that's what I was trying to establish.

Nope it still doesn't work. The disc cant be read by a cd player or vcd player. Would it work if i burned it as an "Audio and Data" disc? This is the burning option i have in my other nero software,

Yes, it may do - have you checked your dvd player is compatible with Data Discs?

Can't be done.. the filesystems both need to be at the root of the disk and will conflict. You see both kinds of format expect certain files to be in specific physical places on the disk, and a dvd player that sees both svcd and cda files will not know what sort of disk it is and will crash. If this could be done there would be companies selling disks like this.. but there are none.
You could try the trick with a dvd disk.. put the music files in the audio.ts folder and the film in the video.ts folder. will not play in a cd player, but may just work in your dvd player.

It can be done. I have bought an album abt 7 years ago which had this. It had all the tracks on the cd as well as an mtv. The reason why i wanna do this is because my friend is has just cut an album and would like to release it to the public. Thats why it would have to be on a cd instead of a dvd.
