So I have this bad problem, I got this new keyboard from a freind and forgot to install the driver and now windows will not boot in any mode.
So i need to find a way do a System Restore while windows is booting up.

When it boots, it will almost get to the login screen, but a blue screen somes up momentarily that tells me there is something wrong with hardware/driver (the new keyboard). then it restarts.

PLEASE HELP!

thank you, Willis

this might be bit dumb on my behalf:

But why don't you use your old keyboard on startup (if the issue still occurs then it obviously isn't a hardware problem associated with the keyboard).

Also I would think safemode should work. Another idea that may work is: if you have second hard drive then boot it, then from there you can install the drivers properly for you other drive.

lol what puzzles me though is how did you type this thread if your keyboard doesn't work.

P.S I am assuming you are using Windows XP
