I have installed an xecuter 2.2 lite plus on my v1.0 xbox and have succesfully flashed the chip (my xbox boots up with xecuter under the logo) and I have followed multiple guides to burning ISO cds. So I have the evox iso cd and put it in my xbox, and the system resets to the logo screen with microsoft under the logo now. This is the closest (?) I have gotten to actually getting the evolution dashboard to load. I usually get the "This cd is not recognized by xbox" blah blah blah. I am using memorex cd-rw 4x (which I heard works on most systems) and I have a thomson dvd drive in the xbox (Why oh why couldnt I have a samsung). Anyway any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Damn Bill Gates and his stupid anti piracy ways! Monopolistic Bastard!

Try a different Brand of CD-RW. Sounds like the Xbox starts to load the disc because you get the Microsoft under the X instead of the Xecuter.

So ummm I feel like a dumbass...there was nothing wrong with my iso cds...It was just that I hadnt set the clock on the msdash, which apparently glitches the iso cd. Two days of work and 20 cds later to find out it was a stupid clock...BLAH

Hi guys
I have the same problem, I tried the iso image forst with xiso, then with craxtion, tried 2 sizes of dummy (400 / 500mb) have the evo ini, and default xbe in there. I cant get evox to be recognised on my memorex cdrw disc. YET I used the same brand/type of disc to flash my bios, which it found after only a couple of resets (I have a xecuter 2.2 lite(+))
I know this problem does seem to turn up a lot, most people , by what I can gather, would say its my media, but I did make a succesful bios cd with the same media.
Any idea?
Cheers
