Hi there..
I have a samsung ms28 drive flashed with xtreme 5.2a firmware.
I had it done at a computer fayre so unfortunately i don't have the original firmware on my pc.
I would like to update my firmware to iextreme
Can i do this with out having my original firmware????

yes you can update to ixtreme without the orig firmware but if you ever need the orig all you need to do is extract the key from the firmware that is on it.

Would i go about doing this the sameway as flashing a samsung a drive Normally?
Make folder first with serial number,
go into dos

(xread xxxxx xxxx serial number of xbox360

reboot and xflash xxxxx xxxx?

basically do i update to iextreme the sameway as i would flash a non modded samsung?

yep, you got it, and if you want to get the orig key from your modded firmware use 360 fw toolbox.

not hijacking the thread but i have a 59 hitachi drive which is flashed with gayopa can i just upgrade to new firmware,,,,,,i am using team executer connectivity kit.

You will want to run RESTORE X (X = the drive letter its assigned in windows) command before you upgrade the firmware.

i am naffed then as i don't have my original firmware for the hitachi drive.
is there any way round this i.e are all hitachi firmwares the same through the drive range.
