ok guys, first and for most, I want to apologize in advance if this has been asked before, but i've been out of the scene for a while, and need to find out how to get back on track...
so, I've got a psp ta-082 so on and so forth that has 3.10oe-a on it; and tonight, i bought tiger woods 08... on it it has a 3.40 update, and i've downloaded the 3.71 update (had to run to the church because it has wireless...)
anyway, what is the quickest, easiest, safest way to be able to play tiger woods? If I can go back to using sony's updates, that would be fine for me because i'm kind of done with ISO's and the such... either way i go, i just want to avoid bricking at all costs (hence the easiest and safest)

I would update to 3.52 M33 then to 3.52 M33-4.
Why update to offical firmware when it dosen't take long to update the CFW you already have.
That way you still have CFW incase you wanna get back into the homebrew seen.
I sent you a private message.

i reckon that's what i'll end up doing... if i could just use the 2 updates that i already have, then i'd do that, but i get the "the game could not be played (DADADADA)".... hehe... i guess dark alex is (or was, since i've heard he's out of the game) is as anti-sony as sony is anti-DA....

You can update from 3.10 oe-A straight to 3.51 M33.
Here are the files needed if you want to try yourself.
3.52 M33 HERE
3.52 M33-4 HERE
3.52 firmware HERE
1.50 firmware HERE
Rename the 3.52 firmware to 352.PBP and the 1.50 firmware to 150.PBP and drag them to the M33CREATOR folder.
Now drag the M33CREATOR folder into your /PSP/GAMES folder then run the M33CREATOR in the games menu. After that is finished run the 3.52 M33 update that the M33CREATOR created. Check and see if your at 3.52 M33 if so format your MS.
Now extract the 3.52 M33-4 update and drag the PSP folder inside the M33-4 folder into the root over writing the files then run the M33-4 update which only takes a few seconds. Check and make sure your at 3.52 M33-4 if so format MS 1 more time. Now your updated to latest CFW.

you could either update to 3.40 oe-a or go to 3.52 m33-4. m33-4 has a built in umd ripper, so you can put your tiger woods 08 on your memory stick.
if you go with 3.52 m33-4, just follow what larrylje said. update to 3.52 m33 first, then to 3.52 m33-4

it should show up as a removable drive in my computer. if you have anything else that uses pro duo memory sticks, just transfer the files that way.

yeah, i found it... last night i bought a USB power stick at wal-mart, because i didn't have a USB cable, and i thought the cable in it would be a USB... but its not a true USB... same plugs, etc. but it just sends power from a battery pack to the PSP, mp3 players, cell phones, etc.... but i borrowed a USB cable from mom, and i'm working on updating now...
