Well I just got a 360 new to the hacking world of 360, anyone hook me up with a perfect tutorial that can teach me how to hack this type of drive? I saw this one http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/545204
Pretty good and the book at 360mods.com.
So this is what I have to do can anyone please confirm this?
I need a SATA card to connect Drive to pc so i bough this:

Passkey for 79 Hitatchi to enter modeB so I bought this:

What else do I need inorder to start flashing my drive to play backups, what type of software/firmware for my drive do I need (those iextereme or stealth stuff no idea what those are).

as far as flashing goes, thats it bro! Just make sure that you're good at soldering and have the proper materials for soldering the key onto your 79 (i've personally never done that, so i cant help you with where or what you need to do with the key, other than solder it somewhere lol)
naturally, for backing games up for ixtreme you'll need a samsung SH-D162C dvd drive for ripping games, and any dual layer dvd burner (pioneer DVR-111d recommended for its preset booktyping) xbox backup creator and ImgBurn ;)

what type of firmware hack would I need tho, like iXtreme v1.2 Stealth? or something not sure on that part.

lol, i really don't know what the EPROXY is, i've never had to solder the key onto a 79 before. but, my guess is that the EPROXY is the reason you can't flash a 79 without the key (or part of the reason at least).

I think epoxy is some kinda glue lol according to wikipedia...
Anyways I got 2 79 passkeys for $35 (got a great price for 2). And also that SATA card, now just going to wait for my stuff to come in, install the passkey and hopefully go from there.
can you tell me other softwares/tools I will need to do this? I got ixtreme 1.2rev 2 do i need like Maximus 360 Firmware Toolbox or SLAX?

lol, i miss read that lmao. i thought you said eproxy, not epoxy lmfao
but anyways, the epoxy is just this black sh*t they put over the chip so you can solder it, you can remove it with black glue remover from like lowes or some other hardware store
ok, you're going to need Maximus xbox 360 firmware toolbox 4.0 AND the latest slax. you can get both off of xbins (search this site for info on using xbins. search 'xbins tut' or w/e you want).you'll need to burn slax to a bootable cd. all the info is in the tut you mentioned that i wrote ;)

well, technically no, but if you download the firmware seperate off of xbins and read the README file, you'll find that it's been deemed unnecessary to stealth the firmware.
but, you will not, as of now, get banned from XBL.
also, any black glue remover will due, doesn't matter what brand.
