Depends, If you love the game and plan to play online with outher, like the millions of other Halo people. Then you will want to buy the system and Xbox Live Gold membership.

If that is the only game you think you would play, why that would be i have no idea with all the great 360 games out, then you may just want to play at your friends.

Problem with friends is they are not always there when you really feel the need to play, then your just out of luck.
