Converting small clips from VOB file

I want to be able to take small (2-5 min) clips off of a DVD and insert them into my home movies. I load the .VOB file into TMPGEnc and output it to an .AVI and it works great for inserting into my home movies but it takes about 2 hours to convert a full movie and all I want is about 2 minutes. Is there a way to just pull a few minutes out instead of the whole VOB?

Tmpgenc has a Feature in it"s "Advanced settings" called the "Source Range" were you can choose what part of the file you want to convert..You can also use "Virtual-Dub-Mpeg2" to do this...Cheers
