Help! 3.52m33 and still looking for UMD

Ive just upgrade to 3.51m33 and the PSP is still wanting a UMD to play from mem stick. My UMD doesn't work so I cant put one in it to make it work> Any ideas anyone please?

go into recovery mode again,go to configuration and find umd mode now select the no umd needed sony driver or the m33 driver

As an example, Ive tried running Tiger Woods 2008. When I select it it displays usual message "The game could not be started (80020148)

and you've tried all the no umd needed drivers,what is the problem with the umd drive

Well, it was working fine until 2 weeks ago. I had GTA Liberty City UMD in drive and then for no reason it started asking me to put a UMD in when I tried playing off mem stick. Tiger Woods 08 and FIFA 07 had worked fine until then.
When i tried playing GTA it said the game could not be started 800.... etc.
So my UMD drive aint working, I dont know why and i cant play anything off mem stick. Ive now upgraded to 3.52m33-4

the best thing to do is create yourself a pandora battery and send it off to sony to get it repaired,if none of the no umd drivers are working i don't really know what else you can try try installing update 4 you can get that here http://www.sendspace.com/file/reyie2
just copy the folder to game 150 on your psp then go to game and run it see what happens then

Ok, thanks anyway. I take it i will need to change my firmware to a non custom also as Sony might charge for repair!

give the update 4 a try first on the last post i posted then if that doesn't work you should consider putting a sony firmware on before you send it back

try 3.52 m33-4 first. if that doesn't work, try a clean start by doing pandora's battery and then updating to 3.52 m33. last resort is to reflash with official 3.52 and send it off to sony.

he doesn't need to use a pandora he could just use the 1.50 recovery folder you can get that here http://www.sendspace.com/file/j3j2e2

Thanks for the info guys but I think because my UMD is broked! it wont allow me to play anything, even from the mem stick! Darn thing!Arghhhhh! :0(

you'll be able to boot from the memory stick. download the recovery folder sicdude provided. place it in MS:\psp\game. then boot in recovery menu and choose the third option.
