you can use an 8gb memory stick if you update. i would suggest to go with 3.52 m33-4.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

3.40oe and m33-4 will both play all of those and both can handle 8gb pro duos. M33-4 is better than DAx's firmware. Suggest upgrading away.

Another quick question (thanks for the response guys) its a little off topic. But can I run say a Crisis Core .ISO on m33-4. Or is there any problems with that? Thoughts or suggestions would be great.

any ps1 game that gets converted into an eboot and keys file is good to go in the GAME folder on m33-4. Even if its just the eboot. Its's good. You can get the keys file from other ps1 downloads.psp isos go into ISO folder. Any ps1 game needs to be an EBOOT to play. I recentley got dance dance revolution, tekken 3, and monster rancher 2!

Ok cools thanks. what exactly does the Keys folder do that come with the EBOOT? Anyone know how to change the screen (picture that pops up) right before you play an EBOOT?

yeah... just save any picture you want.. in paint, save it as a png image. What i do is kind of a hard way. I have to keep resizing it until i get it perfect. You need popstation GUI or DrPOP to mess with the games pictures.. you drag the eboot onto drpop and all the info will come up.. for popstation gui. u browse the eboot to get all the info. and then the backround picture to toggle with has to be renamed to pic1 and has to be 480x272 and the icon picture is any picture saved as a png named icon0 with measurements of 144x80.

I just bought an 8 GB memory stick for my psp. I wanted to have some games on the PSP, so I started to take games on it. When I wanted to play, I not all of the games was in the "game" folder on my psp.. When I connected the PSP on the computer, the games was in the ISO, but I could not find the games on the PSP. Those games worked fine on my 1 GB memory stick. I have also 3.40 OE-A. What do do?? :S

I had similar problems with an 8GB stick. I had no problems with 2GB and 4GB sticks with cfw. I'm currently using 3.52 M33-4 and have succesfully used the other cards with this fw.

Anyone have any experience with the 8GB sticks and custom firmware?

Some games seem to work, and some seemed to show up as corrupt data.

i had the similar problem on a fake 4gb. Did you buy from ebay? If it's fake, youll notice it can only store a certain amount. Try adding a bunch of music and see if any gets cut off. Thats how i found out it was fake. If it was real, it should act the same way as any other pro duo when its formatted with the psp.

8GB's... well I suggest you stick with a 2GB or a 4GB, just to be on the safe side.... a lot of fakes out there and unless there is a real good reason u need 8GB... just stick with a 2gig or 4gig and clean out stuff u really dont need...

@Merlock

Did you try formating the memory Stick via PC. If not try it. Connect the PSP to PC and right click on your PSP drive letter and choose format in the list.

Select FAT32 as file system untick the QUICK box and click OK. It will format the 8GB stick. Now format the Memory Stick via PSP system settings. Then try placing the games on the stick.

It is recommended that plugins, emulators and any homebrew that requires 1.50 kernel be placed on the Memory Stick first then the PSP/PSX games.

>>>SICDUDE- it odnt matter if its magicgate supported or unknown. You can have one that says unknown but it hold all the right amount with no problems. I've dealt with about 5 or 6 thats worked well not supported.

>>>PASUZAN-Did you end up getting one? I bet if you bought one at a legit store like circuit city or best buy for almost 200 then everything would go dandy.

>>>Cfast, I think your dealing with what im talking about, i use to have a fake 4 gb. It SAYS the right amount of memory, but DOESNT HAVE the right amount of memory, you may think it does, but it could have 6.5 gb for all you know and think its right, my stick did that too. Some games wouldnt show, and some would. One game would show but when you launch it it gets messed up because it didnt get all the memory in, it just didnt say 'FULL' when transfering because thats how FAKE memory sticks work.

sicude - alright, yeah thats true, whats weird though is that i bought a 512 from the store once and it said unknown also and i know its real. I was just trying to let Pazusan know that theres 'fake' ones out there that work just like a real one. But who knows how long it will last.

Yea, I think Ive heard of those fake ones....they come from honk kong and are known as (Knockoffs i think) I just think Im going to stick with a 4 gig till they work all the kinks out. I also heard that if your running a Crisis Core ISO on 3.52 M33-4 software it loads terribly slow....so
