HI everyone, I'm new here.

Here's the problem:
I decrypt the movie with smartripper and then play it with PowerDVD XP (the latest and updated). 80% of the movies are playing just fine but with those 20% I get this message :
"This player is incompatible with the region marking of this disc". I watched that DVD before I decrypted it and it's working fine, it's a Blockbuster's rental. Now, I can play that movide from my hard drive if I select "open media files" and then select all the VOB files. But that doesn't give me any subtitles and stuff and it pauses for a second when playing the next chapter (VOB file).
I forgot to mention that in order to play decrypted movie with PowerDVD I have to click "select source" and then "Open DVD from your hard disk" and then I just need to double click the first INFO file on the list in the folder.
It's easy and convenient way to store your rentals and watch them whenever you want to especialy when you rent two day rentals.

Anyway, I called Cyberlink and they told me to make sure my decrypter is set to patch the regions and I did it. I tried the same thing with CladDVD, Smartripped and DVD Decrypter but I get the same result. Very frustrating !
I anyone could help I will be very thankfull.

Thanks

Krishna

Hey Krishna, I am having the same problem as you. Have you found any solutions yet? It is a big pain to see that "Disc is not supported in this region" message! :(

Yep, I solved the problem. I was just going to announce it here.
Use DVDdecrypter to decrypt your DVDs. When you're done got to the ?Tools> IFO> region patch> region free? and then select the folder where your movie's been saved and you will see the list of BUP and IFO files only. Select all of them and hit OK or Open, whatever is there. And that's it.
Now, to figure this out it took me a bit of my gray brain substance which I accumulated by meditation and drinking of hot milk every evening.
I tried by patching only one at the time and it didn't work. I didn't realize that the region code's been implemented in all of those files.

Try it and let me know.
