No it is not hard to play a ISO/CSO game (CSO is just a compressed ISO of the game). When you get your MS put it in the PSP and go to systems settings and format the MS. This will create the folders that you will need to place ISO/CSO, PSX, Emulators and HOMEBREW in.

The ms0:/ISO folder is where you place the PSP ISO/CSO games in. Then all you do is go to the game menu memory stick and run the game.

PSX games (they need to be converted to play on PSP) will go into the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder. Run them under the Game menu memory Stick also.

Homebrew and Emulators that require 1.50 kernel to run go into ms0:/PSP/GAME150 folder

Homebrew and Emulators that require 3.40 kernel goes into ms0:/PSP/GAME340 folder.

The update usually shows in the Game Menu so don't update using Official Firmware. You might want to go into your System Settings then to UMD and turn off the Auto-Start feature.

if you come across a game that says you need a higher firmware to run the game then you will need to install 3.52 M33-4 custom firmware.
