Will my PSP work with Pandora Battery & Mem Stick?

Hi, if I convert my Battery and Memory Card to downgrade a friends PSP, will I need to restore my Battery and Mem Card back to normal?
Or, can I simply Format the Memory Card, and leave my Battery as a Pandora one?

What has everyone else done? Convert to Pandora and leave as is, or revert back?
Will this effect future f/w upgrades if I leave a Pandora?

Cnverted three, reverted two, they both took the backed up eeprom fine.

It won't affect firmware updates (custom at any rate)

OK, so I can revert the battery to normal.
What about my 2gb memory card? Will this be ok to just re-format afterwards, or do I need to leave files on this?
