I expect to be told I'm a luddite! I have a samsung plasma, Top Up TV box (new style UK digital tv receiver with recordable DVD hard drive) connected directly to plasma via scart. Sony HD DVD player combo surround sound. Surround works when a DVD is played but not for normal TV. My feeling is there is no direct audio connection from TV receiver to HD DVD? I'm sure I used ot have the same set up with a satellite box and it worked. The TV receiver has audio output facility and also a spare scart socket. The HD DVD player only has one scart socket and that is connected to the Plasma! It also has no other input facility save an HDMI slot. The receiver has no HDMI slot and it makes no differnc plugging the HDMI between DVD and TV. Agggghhh! IS there a way to connect the two - please help before I go mad?
Thanks
