SATA PCI Card Questions

I have just bought a SATA PCI Card for my pc so i can flash my Xbox360 Hitachi 78 Driver. Im Having Problems Trying to get my drive to go into Mode B. Im Not sure if i have installed it correctly. Or do i have the wrong PCI Card. The Card i have is VT6421A Chipset.

1)Do i just slot it in my PC and just let XP to install it.

2)I noticed it has an IDE connection, Do i connect anything to this?

3)There is also 2 SATA Connections inside and the 3rd is on the outside, i take it these are all outputs and i just use the 3rd one on the outside to connect to my Xbox360 Driver.

4)lastly any idears why my drive wont go into Mode B if i have installed it correctly
