Is it possible to get CFW (custom firmware) for 3.71 firmware?

Needed to know since everyone is saying I can't make a pandora battery without CFW, and some say I can't get CFW without a Pandora battery.

You need a PSP with CFW to MAKE Pandora's battery, which can downgrade any PSP (even a bricked one) and take it to 1.50. From there, you can go to CFW yourself.

In order to create the Pandora's battery and be able to use it, you need a friend on version 1.50 or a custom firmware (Don't worry, if they have it, they'll know).
Ask them to create the battery on their PSP, and then the "magic" memory stick files. Then, put the battery your friend made into Pandora's battery and their memory stick into your PSP and start it up. I cannot put it any clearer than that.
