friend had pandoras box and magic memoricard or something like that, so he letting me hold it. I was reading a lot ( yes I searched but theres nothing about the sony 3.30 on how to hack it, and the box simply wont work with my psp for some reason, some forums say it only works up to 2.20 and some say it works with everything, but in my case it wasnt working so I upgraded the software now im in sony 3.70 and still it wont let me mess with the psp as an open source

The Pandora Battery and Magic Memory stick will downgrade any PSP FAT so follow the below instructions.
Turn of your PSP Hold the power button up till the power led turns off.
Now take out your Memory Stick and your Battery and make sure you do not have your PSP plugged into the AC Adapter.
Now place the Pandora Battery into your PSP and the green power led should come on.
Now place the Magic Memory stick into your PSP. The Wifi and Memory Stick leds should flash and the menu to downgrade should come up.
If the menu doesn't come up then hit the brightness button to see if it will come up.
When the menu comes up press X to downgrade to 1.50 firmware.
After you have downgraded replace your Battery and memory Stick in your PSP.
Now I would suggest upgrading to 3.52 M33-4/
If you get your PSP downgraded to 1.50 let me know and I will give you the steps to install 3.52 M33-4 CFW.

But before you upgrade to a CFW(Custom Firmware)you will need to install the 1.5 again, because the 1.5 you downgraded to is just a subset of 1.5.You don't know what will happen if you upgrade from the subset so remember to INSTALL THE 1.5 FIRMWARE AGAIN.

You do not have to install a full 1.50 firmware the 1.50 subset is fine.
Just upgrade to whatever CFW you choose.

ok im trying to downgrade back to 1.50 so i can create a pandora's battery to get my psp FW to custom to play isos and stuff
this psp I have is a 2.60 and im using the GTA exploit so I uploaded the exploid files into the psp there where 2 fowlders "GAME" and "SAVE DATA" so Im assuming that "GAME" goes in x:/psp/game and "SAVE DATA" goes on x:/psp/save data so I took the content out of the fowlders and dropped it in the corresponding fowlders on my psp right? then i followed the instructions and loaded GTA then loaded the save file with the exploid and the psp restarted then a weird menu came up and it says "press start to exit" now according to the readme file on the archive im supposed to get an option to choose homebrew in that menu but i dont see it. after a while the psp just shuts off

You don't need to use the GTA game exploit. If you do you will have to upgrade to 3.03 official firmware to use it. I suggest updating to 2.71 and use the 2.71 downgrader which doesn't require a game.
Here is a list of GUIDES.
Find out what type of Motherboard your PSP has. Open the UMD Bay and look at the top right hand side inside the bay. If there is text there then you have a TA-82 or higher Motherboard. If there is no text then you don't.

If you have a TA-82 Motherboard then look at the "-2.71 PSP (TA-82 or TA-86)" guide on the above link.
If you don't have a TA-82 motherboard then use the "-2.71 PSP" guide linked above.
You will need to update to 2.71 official firmware which is HERE.
I would start off by formating your PSP Memory Stick via system settings so you get all unnecessary downgrader files off that you have already installed.
Create a folder named UPDATE and place the 2.71 firmware (name it EBOOT.PBP) inside the UPDATE folder and drag that to your ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.
Then run the update in Game Menu memory Stick.
Check and make sure your at 2.71 firmware. if you are format Memory Stick again.
Now follow the 2.71 guide that corresponds with your Motherboard to downgrade to 1.50 firmware.

I recommend installing 3.52 M33-4 Below is a mini-guide to install it.
3.52 M33 HERE
3.52 M33-4 HERE
3.52 firmware HERE
1.50 firmware HERE
Download the 3.52 M33 CFW linked above. Extract the file.
Download both the 1.50 and 3.52 firmware. You need to re-name the 3.52 firmware to 352.PBP the 1.50 firmware to 150.PBP. Then add them to the M33CREATOR folder.
Now copy the M33CREATOR folder and the kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folders to the PSP MS directory of ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.
Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the KXploit Permanent Patcher. It should run and say patched successfully and reboot back to the XMB.
Now go to game Menu Memory Stick and run the M33CREATOR.
After you run the M33CREATOR it should reboot back to the XMB. It should have created a 3.52 M33 update which you need to select in the Game Menu Memory Stick.
It will flash the files to the PSP and you should be at 3.52 M33 firmware. If it is then format your MS.
Now extract the 3.52 M33-4 update.
Drag the PSP folder that is in the update M33-4 into the root of the MS overwriting the files when it asks you to. Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the m33-4 update. This will only take a few seconds.
After the update is finished check and make sure it says 3.52 M33-4 for firmware. If it does say 3.52 m33-4 then format the MS 1 more time.
You are now updated to 3.52 M33-4.
