I have a chipped slim PS2 (77006) and fairly new Sony 8M memory card that has a corrupted data block on it. I have tried to delete through the Sony browser, says it cannot be deleted. I read someone else used uLaunchELF and deleted data that way. I have uLaunchELF v4.12 on CD, inserted and started ELF. I found the corrupted file, but I can't delete it that way either.
The file is named, "/BESLES-00000 DATEL/" and is approx. 4M in size.
I know as a last resort I can go buy a new card, copy the good files and maybe format this one. I'm in a location where these things aren't readily available, so I would need to order from the states.
it's not coruppted. are u using action replay max (armax)? because datel is armax company.. that "corrupted file should be "crushed file when u backu ur save game with armax.
Ohhh. I do have ActionReplay 15.1 (atleast that what the disc says). I browsed the disc a few weeks ago, guess I did something. I did't really care for AR.
So, how do I get rid of that data? I went to the MC browser in AR and that block doesnt show up.
Thanks again
update- think I'm hosed! Browsed around AR again and then went back to the MC part. The MC icon is RED now and I can't browse it. Used the Sony browser, MC needs to be formatted, damn!
I'll hold off until someone confirms that I'm screwed. :-(
