Italian movie won't play on my dvd player.

A movie I purchased when my wife and I visited Italy won't play on my DVD player. I made a copy of the movie to backup in my library but unfortunately it will not play on my player. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

probley wrong region or it could be a pal dvd what program did you use to make a backup?

God I feel like a idiot. I bought it when we went away and I just figured out all I had to do was change the region code on decrypter. Thanks rdmercer for responded.
