I have a TS-H943A ms 25. I have used the iprep and xbc to make the backup to my usb to boot through start up. When i do that and choose the ixtrememe pri master (or something like that it is called) the computer chokes up and stays in the same position once i press the corresponding key for the via sata. Even though it is the ms25, i went ahead and tried the 10 sec trick and for some reason that worked. by the way i am using 1.2revc firmware. at the end in the dos mode ( i cant remember exactly what it said) it said something like cureent firmware : ms28. Why does it say that. On my harddrive it says ms25. Maybe it is different because some people have TS-H943 without the A. Anyways i went on and tried some of my backups that i made. Everytime i try one it says cant read the disc or it is not clean. When the disc is put into there, it sounds like it is reading it, but then the drive stops reading which causes the "cant read" error. I am using the blaster360 btw. I used imgburn to burn my backups. I have made sure they are stealthed and eerything is correct because of that one program i believe called xdvdmutella or summin like that and all the check boxes were correct. I also use 3 different type of media to burn them on. I have tried 1x 2x and 2.4x burning speed. I have used office max, memorex and verbatim and none of them seem to fix that stop reading problem in my xbox. I then tried to use the pot fix solution and i tuned the resistance down to 3.25 ohms and that still does not fix the problem. Also i my original disks are working perfectly with no drive reading stopage.
Since it's now a MS28 (open the new fw in fwtoolbox to check), you will need to do the VIA 10-sec trick to re-do the FW. You need to spoof the FW to a MS25.
I don't know what you're using the blaster360 for since you must have a VIA chipset in order to even do the 10-sec trick.
Here's what I would do.
Start over.
Open your original.bin file in FWToolbox and see if it's an original MS25 FW.
If it is, then make a new fw based on that original.bin file and reflash your drive but making sure it gets spoofed as a MS25.
Also, burn your games on Verbatim DVD+R DL discs at 4x (if you can) or 2.4x with IMGBurn.
Make sure you set the correct layerbreak within the IMGBurn program.

ok i spoofed it and for some reason this time, i did not need to do the 10 sec trick. I just used the 1.2revC fast and i did the same thing and it went through. I also did verbatim DL 2.4x burn with img burn and made sure it had the layerbrick and it did the same thing. For some reason the 360 just makes weird kinda sweeky noises when it tries to read a burned dvd, and for some reason, it just stops reading the disc. Original discs dont make the noise and i have no problem with it.
