I want to back up a DVD that I bought recently I used DVD Shrink to back up on my HD but when I try to copy it on to a blank disc using nero the files seem to be to large to copy them can i remove any 'Extra Features' and if so what files can i remove in order to to fit it onto a 4.7 gb disc

if you did not compress it the first time, then you can't really remove files to make it fit. You should open DVD Shrink, click "open files", go to the folder that contains the backup, click on the video_ts.ifo file and then recompress the movie to fit. DVD Shrink will usually do this, but if it errored the first time, you can set the ratio slider so that it will be a little bit smaller and therefore will fit on a burn(if you have taken out the audio streams and other stuff that you don't want).

Check out oriphus' site to see the details on shrink:
