Just wondering if setting my 360 to 1080i rather than 720 is going to make my 360 run hotter? My TV can display up to 1080i but not sure if I should raise it. Anyone know if it makes a difference temp wise?
Well if you run a video card at too high of a resolution it will burn up the video card. Just figured that the higher the display the harder on the system to display. Higher the display would take more power and in turn cause more heat? Thats my assumptions anyways. So thats the answer to your question "why would it make a difference in temperature?" So the answer is a definite no? Or is that your guess? Thankyou for your time.
Mine runs at 1080i and it doesn't heat up at all! I mean ya, my 360 is heating up, but it doesn't overheat when it's running at 1080i! I'm pretty sure that you should be fine!
