I got my xbox360 (79 replacement drive) modded.

Can it still play the same backup games as the older model of the xbox360?

I heard you have to do something with the security sector. is this true?

when replacing the drive you need to change the drive key on the new drive, use the drive key on your old drive and extract it to use with the new drive.

Ok, if you have it modded with ixtreme, then you'll have to insert stealth files (SS.bin DMI.bin PFI.bin) into your game.iso
or, buy a samsung SC-162C dvd drive flashed with kreon off of ebay and use xbox backup creator 2.6 and you'll have a fully stealthed backup. Saves so much time, definitely worth the money.

what would happen to the drive if I dont use the stealth files?

Anything I should be worried about?

well, if you flash your drive with ixtreme, non stealthed games will not play at all. but if you flash with something else, then you just run a higher risk of being banned from Live
