Problem Updating from 3.52 M33 to M33-4

Hi, I'm new here and I have a problem updating my M33 firmware.
I'm currently running 3.52 M33 and wanted to update to M33-4.
I formatted my memory stick and downloaded the update
copied the PSP files from the downloaded RAR file on the root of my memory stick, which popped up do you want to replace these files etc.
I click yes to all and they copied over.
Unplugged my PSP went to the game folder and in there is the update with that March 3.3.33 icon.
When i launch that it then says
This update doesn't apply to this firmware or has already been applied.
Then the PSP reboots to the XMB with the 3.52 M33 firmware as before.
I've also tried doing the same with M33-3 firmware to see if that worked but that also doesn't work.

Appriciate any help :)

Did you run the installer (On PSP) before clicking on the date thing? Could still be the install file for the version that you have now

I don't think so, the only things I have in my games folder is the M33 Update and that's it, would it show up in my system info as 3.52 M33-4? or stay as 3.52 M33 if I've updated?

it would say 3.52m33-4 if the update was succesful
