Got Swap Magic today just for this game and wow no wonder it got banned everywhere. Holy crap there's nothing more satisfying than ripping a guys balls off with pliers O.O
I just got passed the Best Friends episode. I absolutely LOVE the handgun executions, lots of fun! This game is great. Beats the original Manhunt by a mile.

I got that game ten days ago and all I got to play was 20 mins!!
My grandma who came from country wont let me play a bit!!

Thank goodness for Demonoid...
Anyhow, for the people that managed to get this running...are you having an issue saving the game?
I have it up and running but I can't save. =( Please let me know if there's a fix b/c letting my ps2 run 24/7 until the game is completed is not such a great thing.

Hmmm...interesting
the game doesn't seem to discretely enable the player to save, but it auto-saves per level. Which is acceptable, at a mininum, even if the checkpoints may not work.

Haven't had any issues with saving myself. Checkpoints work and save fine for me.

But anyhow, yeah, whatever version I have, the console can't be turned off. Basically, it won't write to memory card at all.
When you did save though, when you get to the save game page, do you actually see what chapter you're saving for for each save slot available?
All I see is are dashes...whenever I try to pick any slot, the t.v. just goes blank, and pressing the X button again simply takes me back to the save screen. No messages that say the save point was saved correctly.

Weird. When I hit a checkpoint I can go into the menu and save without any issues. Same goes for when I complete an episode. Sounds like you need to reburn the game.

That, or perhaps re-download another version. It works perfectly outside of the whole saving issue.

My game saves fine. Has anyone had any problems with this besides that. After I beat some level the game said disc read error. I havent tried playing it again since it said that so i dont know if it truly messed up at that level. let me know what you guys think. I love the game though. I can totally see why they needed a cut, but I still dont think it's any worse than the first man hunt.

Ok...need some help, I think.
Currently I have at least two versions of this disk. The first is a clonecd setup where there's a bunch of files. man.000, man.001, man.002, and finally, man.dvd.
What do I do to burn these files properly in clonecd? I hadn't a clue how to re-assemble them into a single file (since it was asking me for a disc image).

The second download has two files, a manhunt2.ISO and manhunt2.MDS
I burned one with just the ISO file, that one works with SwapMagic, but i can't save any games.
The second time around, I burned the ISO and the MDS onto a disc, choosing the "DVD-ROM (UDF)" data option in Toast. This one bombed and didn't work at all.
What am I supposed to do to burn this thing? I presume I need that .MDS file, but what is it for, and how to I need to burn it along with the .ISO?
Much thanks in advance if you have any input.

For the first lot of files, get DVD Decrypter and then right click on the "Man2" file. Click "burn using DVD decrypter". Burn at 8x or lower.
For the 2nd lot of files (the ISO and MDS files) right click on the MDS file and click "burn using DVD decrypter". As before burn at 8x or lower.

when its time to save, goto a save slot and press X it WILL go black !.while its black hold up on the D pad and press X a few times and it will save. the graphic for the "would u like to save?" " yes / no" is missing. hope this clears things up
P.S the same rules apply for loading games aswell

Yup
Got it working thanks to Afterdawns very own hursty!.
Great game so far even though I'm only finished the sexual deviant level.
Anyone see those Quick Time Event-like segments during gameplay?.

Hey, I'm stuck at the level best friends. I keep dying because i don't know a way to kill the guards and if i try to beat them with my fists, they come with 2 or more and beat me.
can someone please help me and say how to pass the guards ?

You have to play through the game in a more cowardly, less brutal way. i.e do mostly white executions, keep executions to a minimum etc

yeah a LOT of bugs, tends to lock up, and its PAL so the videos are all whacked.
Ive played the game cowardly! all white kills, no killing innocents, and ive even left some bad guys alive. Crap.
All in all, im a lil dissapointed. its missing the... style of the first Manhunt.

There aren't many bugs to be honest. So far I've come across some cut scenes without sound so I just put on subtitles. Apart from that it does has issues but nothing that would impact on the gameplay.
Oh and if it's freezing for people try re-calibrating your laser. Worked for me now it runs perfect.
