We need to know your firmware, go to Settings, scroll to System Settings, then to System Information, it will tell you there next to "System Software".

Then we can help you to downgrade and play ISOs.

PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

You could always slam it down hard on a hard surface. It would probably crack that way.

As shokz said, we need to know your firmware.A firmware is just another word of saying the version of your PSP.Just tell us the firmware.Don't give us your Mac Address.

@npl10

I'm not a genius to the slim but I do know that you need Pandora...I think.A person done a successful upgrade from 3.60(OFW) to 3.71M33(CFW) so you can give it a go.Though I doubt it that it will happen to you.I guess it was a miracle to the other guy...It worths a try so download 3.71M33 or 3.60M33, whatever suits you.

You need to use a Pandora Battery to install 3.60 M33 to your PSP slim. In order to do this you will need a FAT PSP that has 1.50 or custom firmware installed on the PSP (Your 3.60 Slim can not make the Pandora Battery).

HERE is a guide for creating a Pandora Battery.

After you create the Pandora Battery you will need to modify the magic memory stick with the 3.60 M33 CFW which you can get HERE.

After you install the 3.60 M33 CFW on your slim you can get the 3.71 M33 CFW HERE.

Just follow the read me file that comes with both 3.60 M33 and 3.71 M33 to install the CFW.

@VISHSAM

You have 3 options.

1) Update to 3.50 firmware and use the Lumines unpatched game exploit downgrader. HERE is a guide for that method (Look under -3.10 - 3.50 Any Motherboard section).

2) Update to 3.03 firmware and use the Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories unpatched game exploit downgrader. HERE is a guide for that method (Look under the -2.81 - 3.03 Any Motherboard section)

3) Use a Pandora Battery to downgrade. In order to do this you will need a FAT PSP that has 1.50 or custom firmware installed on the PSP.

HERE is a guide for creating a Pandora Battery.

After you downgrade to 1.50 you will need to install custom firmware to your PSP to play your ISO/CSO PSP games from Memory Stick. First downgrade to 1.50 then I can help with installing CFW to your PSP.

@VISHSAM

You'll need to downgrade and then upgrade to a CFW(Custom Firmware).3.52M33-4 is probably the most safe CFW.Although 3.71M33 has the 1.5 kernel patch(which means it can play snes and gba,etc)alot of plugins(Like cheating devices screenshots etc)don't work.So 3.52M33-4.

First in order to downgrade you must upgrade to 3.03 FW.

Click here for the tutorial on downgrading 3.03.

Then upgrade to any CFW you want.

EDIT: Larry explained it...I kept the reply box up because I had to go away.

if you're on 3.52 m33-4 or 3.71 m33, you already have a built in umd ripper. just go into the vsh menu and switch the usb mode to umd disc.

Ok, so, you've switchd USB to access the UMD, now enable USB and when the box appears on your PC screen, copy the file inside onto your desktop (This is the game rip). After it's finished you can drag it into your ISO folder.

once it's done copying, rename it.

also, you have a choice of leaving it in iso format, or compressing it to cso, before transfering to the memory stick. umdgen, ciso converter is a few programs that will compress iso into cso.

once you ripped all the games you want, go back into the vsh menu, switch the usb mode back to memory stick, and exit. then go back to usb connection and enable it. the computer will show the memory stick contents again. copy the game to the ISO folder, which should be in the root of the memory stick. if there isn't any, create one in all caps; it should look like this, ms0:\ISO

check this out................i have a ,i am guessing a fat psp{o.g. not the slim psp}running very succesfully 3.52m33-4 CFW.thanx to the very patient Shokz w/alot of cool stuff. i am trying to upgrade to 3.71m33 CFW pretty much for the themes and the easyness of installing them.
this is what i am doing so if you see something wrong PLEASSE tell me.
installing the 3.71 eboot to F/psp/game/UPDATE,then renaming to 371.
i then exit out of usb mode and go to games,the file says corrupted andcan not be played, i am using the 3.71m33-1 update,if i dont rename the eboot it registers as an update then loads and says cannot read pbp file and reboots. i know iam running the 3.52 kernal but still no love.have tried from a few sources and still no love
what do you think the issue is,should i downgrade to 1.5 and then reinstall 3.52?
i am not worried as i have the wonderful pandoras battery.

@1fuct1

As I said in the other thread...

Try redownloading the 3.71 M33 update file HERE.

Redownload the 3.71 official firmware HERE.

Rename the 3.71 Offical EBOOT to 371.PBP and place it in the UPDATE folder.

You should have...

371.PBP
EBOOT.PBP
umodule.prx

in the UPDATE folder and place that in the /PSP/GAME folder.

If the files still says corrupt then try formating your PSP Memory stick via PC.

Connect the PSP to PC then right click on your PSP drive letter on the PC choose format then choose FAT32 as file format. Untick the QUICK box and click OK so it formates.

After it formats via PC go to PSP and format it again via System Settings.

Now drag the UPDATE folder into the /PSP/GAME folder and try running it again.

hello,
I just read the previous postings on this thread and some on other forums. I have few questions. I plan to buy the PSP slim the coming Monday when it arrives on BestBuy stores. It will be my first ever buy of a handheld game.
1.) Have you guys heard of anyone being successfully able to crack the new PSP slim. Coz i cannot find the final result when people try the cracking procedure provided.
2.)one of the postings from larrylje talks about the procedure, so my understanding for that is my friend has a hacked FAT PSP with him, so can i use that psp for cracking mine. So is that known as the pandora battery preparation ? and what does the magic memory stick means in the same post.
Sorry for my so many questions, but i jst wanted to assured that am buying the right thing which i can use fully.

Your replies will be much appreciated.
