I've recently purchased the SST 49LF020. As i understand it, once i build the programer and program the flash chip with a bios, all i have to do is solder a header to the xbox mobo, disable the onborad bios, plug in my mod chip, install nessacary software and i can rip games to the harddrive. Am i missing anything. Would someone with detailed knowledge on the subject please tell me if i've got this right. I have experience soldering so once i get the proper instruction, i should be able to pull this off.

I've neer done it but your on the right track. Probably the best place to look is in the Tutorials on XBox-Scene
