scouser mate. can a dead euro black box be revived, ive had to return about 6 units in the last 3 months.

Yes a grace said it will but essentially you are turning it into a Red box that cannot accept the Black firmware as the black tsop hasnt been released yet.Better than nothing as it gets your box up and running again.

Now if you give me a day or two I am just testing the black tsop I have and recovered a maxV successfully and I have also loaded the black critical update onto it so its basically back to new. I will post in on here when the box has run for a day or two with no problems.

Perfect Grace would you like to give it a test drive. The box I repaired wasnt mine but has been working fine for the past two days and I was able to load the critical update to it.

I think you were the first person who enquired about it here on AD, so would you like to give it a test drive :)
