Do I even need Java on my PC? I have 5 Java Softwares on my PC, each takes up over 100MB. Windows also tells me that I use it rarely or never even used it. What do I need it for? If I don't use, will it effect my PC if I uninstall it?

Hey, if you use bit torrents like Azureus you will need the minimum runtime environment. Most users may not need it........it depends what you do on the net...................check this link

I use uTorrent. I did some research, and it doesn't require Java. Nothing in my Program list says I have JavaScript. That link you gave me said I will probably need it. Would any of these Java Softwares be JavaScript:

1. J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1
2. J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 11
3. Java 2 Runtime Environment SE v1.4.2_03
4. Java (TM) 6 Update 2
5. Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1

It is a defect in Java's update process that it leaves old versions on your computer.
These old version should be deleted by you through Add/Remove.
You could then install through the Verify Java, which will check and install the latest version for you.

It is not a necessary program, but a lot of websites and web games use it.
It would be better to have it on your computer as it takes up little space and you probably will use it on occassion.
