what are the risks of downgrading a 2.82 f/w having no codes(TA-082)

[b][b]please em...i ve been enligntened in this site that i need to upgrade my 2.82 psp to 3.03 before downgrading to 1.50 which i wud luv 2 do but pls i nid 2 knw d following cos am new to psp customwares
is the 3.03 upgrade safe?
my green stuff inside da umd aint gat codes,wat does this mean?
and shoul i continue?
what can i gain from 3.03f/m as in can i play homebrews and use softwares?
what do i gain or lose downgrading to 1.50?
and pls risks involved?
Please i amvery sorry 4 much questions but pls any info u give wud be helpful

first off don't double post!!!! be patient someone will get to you
second yes you will need to upgrade to 3.03 official sony firmware and it is safe and no you won't be able to play homebrews.
you will need to downgrade to 1.50 then install custom firmware to play iso's and homebrew here is a guide on how to do it

hey sicdude, real thanks Ur da BOMB!!for your encuragements...yea you gave me confidence in doing the right thing, i ve just upgraded to 3.03 some minutes ago and was damn successful but am scared about da 1.5,(not neccessarily cos of bricking and all those stuffs) though i ve d tutorials on my pc and an unpatched GTALCS but u c i wanted 2 knw if it wud be successful because i dont play UMDS on my consle anymore of recent because it fell sumtime in d past and it reads UMDS like the GTA but hooks at the lodaing page....(guess sth is broken).....All these made me come to the internet in search of games...
and also sicdude, it shows the Gta update 2.00, so i am having double minds of it working r not.
Or is there not an alternative route to the UPdate apart 4rm goin thru the game lading, because mine hangs normally.
Man i must say thanks for your quick reply i appreciated it and still here waiting for a profitable reply like before.

just give it a try you'll be happy when you are on customfirmware lol,
the only other way is using the pandora battery and magic memstick

thanks but dats nt so encouraging for me, see you dont understand, i am a beginner and so was delighted when u made me make the first step, but pandora battery as a solution, is dta not more stressful and more risky?
and hey what about the HEN stuff, i saw that as an option, so can i try dat and nt bother entering d UMD?
Or does it entail i must enter the UMD first b4 continuing downgrading process??
and can i amke a pandora battery myself?

all downgrading and upgrading envolves small risks but if you're not willing to take the risk then you should just leave it the way it is

you can't make pandora's battery with your current psp; it's not 1.5 or custom firmware. the only way is to find someone who has a custom firmware psp, and ask them to make it. this is a fail safe method, if created correctly.
if you update to 3.52 m33-4, then you won't need any other programs (HEN, umdemulator, umdripper). they're built in to the firmware.
doing anything to the firmware induce risks. even the enthusiasts makes mistakes, and brick. that's where the recovery menu in the custom firmware comes in handy, along with pandora's battery as a backup

pls gimmie any safety inf0os 2 avoid damage or bricks(scared)

please i am online now and wanna downgarde 4rm 3.30 to 1.5 and i ve my unpatched GTA lcs, But ma UMD doesnt play normally(stps sumwhere while loading game) cos i had probs with it when it fell lastwk but it reads the UMD and shows the Update 2.00, so in order 2 avoid problems i was wondering if i could use the other option directly which is going 2 run the XYZ Update if the HEN runs and wud the HEN run and show in my system information without going into my UMD at all but with the UMD placed??
please i am currently online and wud be grateful to anyone dat help me with this info.
