hi, well basically i have some avi files of episodes, and i want to burn them to dvd so i can watch them on TV.
The problem is that when i try to burn them to dvd, one of them works fine, and i have a transcoding error with the others. I am using nero 7.
I think i have got to the root of the problem, but am not sure how to solve it.
In VLC player, i clicked "view", then "stream media and info", and then onto advanced information.
The file that burned sucessfully had the codec:DX50, but the files that didn't burn all had the codec:XVID, and the codec:DIV3.
Any way of changing the codec used?

I haven't run into that problem with Nero .
Short of re-encoding the video (with inherent loss of quality), you can try the 'FourCC' changer.
Open the file (or a copy) and using upper case, type DX50.
This is normally used on XviD files so that they play on fussy DivX players - nothing is actually changed except some file information, the codec has not been changed, merely the information.
