hi guys i am a noob abt xbox ard here. i recently brought 1 for halo 3 and i was wondering if i mod my xbox to play other games will i still be able to go to xbox live to play halo 3. i have the orignal halo 3 fyi

There are many posts on this in the forums, but in short yes. Just do some research for the best soltuion for what you are trying to do, all the tutorials are here to guide you throught the process.

i have another qn though. if i use a flash drive to play my backed up copies but do not go on live, and use an orignal game to go on live, might i be ban?

That I do not know for sure. I can tell you, I have been flashing the drives on my 3 360's (had some RROD problems) and keeping the firmware updated and making sure my games are stealth patched for awhile now and have no had any of my machines banned. I think if you are playing originals online and have the iXtreme firmware you would be extremely safe, safer then me. No one can know for sure, there is always a risk, but I don't think you would have a problem.
