wii stand by light red???

Hello,

I have a Wii with a Wiikey installed, got it brand new about 2 months ago, just today my kid was playing a backup and all of a sudden, the screen went blank. i turned off the wii and the stand by light was red (usually it is yellow). I then turned it on again and it was working normal, then turned it off and the yellow stand by light was back again like normal. This is the first time this has happened and I am just curious if anyone else experienced this.

NO, but the change in light depends on the Wii being connected to the internet or Wii Channel (what ever thy call it). Yellow connected, red your not.

also i unplug my wii so that it doesnt heat up because it can get pretty hot, and when i plug it back in it's red again, and like the guy before me said, its got to do with your internet connection status on the wii.

just turn off the standyby mode in wii settings that should do it

If you hold down power button (when turning off) it'll go for OFF (red) not standby (amber). I always turn off wii to red. If on amber it still heats up, this indicates its not truly "off".
