Totally suprised by the lack to information on installing and getting Platinum to work. Had to call tech support to initianly get the program to burn. After checking things off with the step by step gyrations of tech I was sent up to level 2 tech support. Again excuses were it was the media (Memorex) and then the burner (Plextor). All my firmware and aspi were current. Finally removed the program, rebooted, re-installed the program and it seemed to work as I burned a disk of 4.7 mb from the original disk. When I tried to burn a 7.5 original disk I received an error log that the media was to small. Tried e-mailing without success. You may want to check the progession of the e-mails for your personal benefit. Called tech support(each time a new person as the original contacts were unavailable) to try to understand the compression settings in the advanced tab. Tech support could give me no clue as what the purpose was or how it worked. After 6 total calls I have given up and requested a refund. Told to sent the program back which I am doing.
This has been the most frustrating tech support responses I have ever encountered. I am suprised as Plextor recommended your company and they have been excellent with their support of their CD and DVD products of which our office has 10.
Thank you for your time and hopefully your tech division will be revamped to competently answer questions about the product.

you sent this to the wrong place. This is not the xcopy tech support. This is a website with a forum of interested people trying to help each other with different topics. While many might use the programs, I don't think there are many who make a living off of this. I can say that I am not an employee of 321 and have made no money from this.

If you want the xcopy forum go to:
http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/
Again, this is forum of interested people who might be interested in helping you fix your issues but are probably not affiliated with 321 studios or xcopy.

If you are still interested in backing up dvd's in a simple fashion and don't mind doing a little bit of learning, I would recommend DVD Shrink and a burning program (nero or recordnow). check out these two websites:
