i have USB based modem/router an i go the net with ps2?

i have USB based modem/router an i go the net with ps2?like can i just plug in the USB form the modem into my ps2 or do i need a speacial disc or that network adpater? please explain a way sorry if this has been alraeedy been asked but if it has its probably got a 100 posts so please help me and answer under this thread... thankyou

if you have the slim ps2, you can connect directly with a ethernet cable. if you have a fat ps2, then you will need the network adapter, and connect with a ethernet cable.

the ps2 doesn't support usb based modems, only ethernet type. also, there is no internet browser; it's just online games.
