Memory card data to pc with gameshark v2?

I'm using a gamesharkv2, made by interact, on a version 7 ps2, along with a psp as a usb device. Is it possible to use the gameshark to transfer data between the memory card and the usb device, or if that's not possible, is it possible to load the independence exploit onto the gameshark dongle? My ps2 is currently unmodded, and the gameshark says that it can accept usb devices, but I have had no luck thus far in getting it to read either the psp's memory stick, formatted as fat, or an ipod nano, or mini ipod.
I've looked through multiple threads and have yet to find anything relating in depth to the method to use with the gameshark v2.
