movies skipping when I back the up

Lately, the copy of the DVD I backed up is not playing right. Around the last 2 chapters in the movie it starts to skip scenes and freeze up. I was thinking that this is happening because i was using cheep DVD-R's but I've been using these for a while and havent had this problem untill now. Also think i might have gotton a bad pack of disc. If anyone else knows what the problem might be please tell me.
