Hey,

Im in a bit of a pickle to say the least!

Right... as youl see i *bleep* things up regularly. Any how heres my problem:

I had a working flashed ( Got orig + drive key to hand) V0078 Drive. This then broke because of some laser problem. No biggie ordered a new V47 drive off ebay. My plan was to then flash this device put on the spoofed orig + drive key yadda yadda yadda. For various reasons my computer caught a light and now im out of a computer. So my only working machine was my laptop. No sata in here so had to order an X360 Usb to flash the new drive. This worked!! The drive now has broken though and am sending it back. Now heres the problem, the connectivity kit is now not working. I cant send it back for various reasons. So therefore im asking is there anyway of getting a V47 Into mode B to work with the 360USB with a laptop? (Not too fond of doing the resistor/wire trick) Will slax work over usb?

Any help will be much appreciated!

yup just donwload the disk and why would you buy xusb or whatever i got the exact same thing kindof on ebay for like 5 bucks. you dont need it just get a usb to sata device any will do and it will only work for the 47 drive not the 78 just as a heads up.

i bought the xusb aswell but its just because it was onsale and its came with the connectivity kit which i wanted just to make things easier...

So slax will work with 360usb?

Any special build of slax i need to use like that newish alpha build????

Ok a bit of a random question but will save posting a new topic..

Should a 360 with no drive plugged in ( Sata and power cable plugged into 360 but not into any drive or such) boot to dash or get an error?

just use the 360 as a power source by keeping the power cable in the 360 and in the drive and just connect the sata cable to your usb thing.
