i hope you can help me.....i am having a problem with reinstalling my system to my dell,,,could you please help me with the step by step instructions to reinstall my system(installation disk, drivers and utilities in the order in which they have to be installed) on my dell inspiron 8600 as i have to reinstall a new hard drive(that would be very helpful too as i dont know how to install a new hard drive...) and dont know the order in which to install my windows xp disks.i also dont know what the partitions are....thanks for your help.....dottie

if you don't understand what you are doing it would be a good idea to take your system to a shop to have the hd replaced cuzz if you conect some thing wrong you could ruin your drive and you would be out bucks for a new drive, it would be the best thing to do that

Dell usually supply recovery discs, if you have installed a new HD you will need to beg,borrow or steal a full copy of XP but when you are asked to insert licence key use one that came with PC. Hope this of some help.
